303 Stainless Steel
Black oxide finish
Sr16/15 ambi compatible
Redesigned most dimensions to better fit VT lowers.

  • Flatter more consitent catch surface than modded catches.
  • Shorter magazine button stem, This brings the magazine button closer to the reciver and more similar to RS. Limits overall travel.
  • Relief cuts have been made to allow the magazine to sit more flush when magazine is inserted
  • VT Spec, This is the same length as VT Stock. This means there is no gap on vt lowers unlike RS moded catches. This is also SR16/15 Ambi compatible.
  • Packaging marks catch height. Due to tolerances it is not possible to have a 100%  consitent magazine catch height. Due to slight differences in lowers, uppers, magazines, nozzle, etc. The exact height may differ from replica to replica. To give you potentially essential information I measure each catch several times and write down the exact height of the catch surface on packaging.
  • Preset catch height. The height may need slight adjustment to get the correct height, but this catch is 99% of the way there if not 100% there already.

When I designed this I started with a VT magazine catch dimensions. I then took a RS catch and combined some of the dimensions to work better. I then reworked those dimensions to adjust them to better fit the VT lower. This creates a product that is not simply a copy of VT or RS spec and then height adjusted. This is specialized in every place for VFC magazine use. The mag catch sits more flush in every position, the ambi catch sits more properly, the button sits closer and limts the amount of travel of the catch overall, This reduces the chance of the catch traveling too far and getting caught on the lower itself.

When you screw the magazine button in be aware that depending on which way the catch is inserted to the lower will effect the magazine catch protruding. If you want the magazine catch to protrude as little as possible try flipping the magazine catch to see if it gets a little closer.

If you want the magazine button to sit further from the reciever do not screw the button in fully. I reduced the height beceause this is possible, where as when the stem is longer the mag catch can only be threaded in so much. Too much and the stem protrudes.
